Whole Boer Goat

goat_cut _diagram.jpg

Our goats are raised on pasture during gazing season. Using intensive rotational grazing practice. We feed non sprayed mountain hay and alfalfa in the winter time.

We will run our meat goats and sheep together on pasture and feed them identically. The largest difference between a goat and sheep is the goats tend to brose the pastures much like deer and are capable of destroying trees and other shrubs very quickly.

All of our goats are raised "organic" but not certified organic. The cost for a whole goat is based on the hanging weight, our Boer Goats average hang weight is between 40 to 50 pounds (+/-). We charge $8.00 a pound for a whole lamb plus processing. Processing fees for a lamb average $130 (+/-)per animal.

In addition to Boer Goats we will also fed out our extra dairy buckling's. They are not as meaty but the flavor profile is still amazing.
